New product - RB951Ui-2HnD

Finaly  - home wifi routerboard with POE output

The RB951Ui-2HnD is a wireless SOHO AP with a new generation Atheros CPU and more processing power. It has five Ethernet ports, one
USB 2.0 port and a high power 2.4GHz 1000mW 802.11b/g/n wireless AP with antennas built in.
It has a 600MHz CPU,128MB of RAM and PoE output function for port #5 - it can power other PoE capable devices with the same voltage as applied to the unit. Maximum load on the port is 580mA.

Does anyone know the price?

hell yeah!

Is it possible to replace internal with external antennas? Like in RB751G-2HnD. Are there MMCX or R-SMA connectors maybe? This is a great solution for wired connections, but for wireless, not so good. 2.5 dBi is not enough.

No, it’s not possible. We have other devices where you can use external antennas, but those products are more costly.

Please, correct this in the brochure.

The RB951Ui-2HnD is a wireless SOHO > Gigabit > AP with a new generation
Atheros CPU and more processing power.

Five independent > 10/100 > Ethernet ports

Brochure is correct. Where did you see this? If on distributor site, we can’t correct that.

The link in the first post.

Did you try reloading? Because I don’t see this  You probably have browser cache

No I did not because I downloaded the brochure for the first time just before i posted.

But this is correct, it has 10/100 ports, not Gigabit. Therefore it doesn’t have a “G” in the name. Nowhere in the brochure is Gigabit mentioned

It says Gigabit AP in the description and that is a contradiction to the specification.

The RB951Ui-2HnD is a > wireless SOHO Gigabit AP > with a new generation
Atheros CPU and more processing power.

So the bug was there. I didn’t notice that  Fixed.

I was hoping that it was the opposite, i.e. Gigabit ethernet. :frowning:

I suppose G model will follow later

afaik on the pcb there are u.fl or similar connectors, and the plastic housing has pre-cut opening for N connectors hidden under the vinyl label. however it’s kinda tricky to open the case.

at least the 951G has this. and i’m quite sure the poe add-on does not mess this up.
have some pictures on my phone in case someone needs 'em.

those are not connectors, but factory test points. there is no possibility to connect an antenna, like I said

Have you plan make RB951GUi ?

Or RB2011iLS-RM (with SPF slot) ?

Thanks

Normis, is there posibility switch OFF and switch ON power on five port?

Thanks for answer

Yes

Setting has 3 states - on, off and auto

on, off - obvious
auto - when detected that power can be supplied PoE-Out is turned on and stays ON till set to off.
when overload is detected output is turned off for some time (2 - 5 seconds) and then router will attempt to provide power again ad Infinitum.

When do you expect the first shipment to distributors?
