Cloud Core Router with
36 cores is your best choice!

We will wait it

In video presentation say this summer

That’s why it says to “watch” and the PDF is only “Accompanying PDF”, it means - not much sense to only read the PDF. More info is in the video.

I hope you like the other new products too!

WooooW!!! I allready love CCR 1036!!!

normis, mark today on your calendar!
It is probably the first time I will say something with a smile on the forums

I like this… I like it a LOT!

I will be ordering some of these if the price is right

With all those millions of packets to float - does it accept 10G SFP+ modules?

Currently announced CCR1036 supports SFP only (SFP+ not supported).

ram??
nand??

is beatifull ¡ ¡

It’s a nice first step but it’s a bit under whelming - It looks like you just threw more GHZ at it to route more, 43ghz of CPU to handle 16gbit and thats 16gbit that MT say, Remeber the RB1100? 3.2gbit of throughput but struggled with 1gbit with some actual config on it

Looks like MT have ignored the ASIC path or even the Cavimum path which will hurt. MT is entering a space with 10gbit+ routers that is much less forgiving than the “ISP’s” they are used to now. It will be interesting to have a play with this and see what it can actually do in the real world but the design is very off

Ship this right away. We very much need 2x of these urgently. June is very late.

can im tested thats router me ? send my home address

i like the metal bullet
I was thinking it would be nice to have a integrated lnb-type bullet with a feeder, so it only needs to be put in a parabolic dish.
Did you think about this?
Also, any hope regarding gpon market this year? Or better stick with other brands for now?
Thanks normis.

I guess this router will be based on the Tilera TILE-Gx8036 CPU, which includes 16 SGMII Interfaces and is supported by Linux.
But if MT just throws their current software at this CPU, I bet we wont see any impressive performance. If however MT designs a new stack and network framework, then we might see some impressive performance. I don’t think the “normal” Linux IP stack will scale well with this number of cores.

normis,
can I participate in training? If Yes, how do I get it from here. Whether a separate forum for training?

I`m afraid that if MT can not launch CCR1036 within this summer (June to August). Hope CCR1036 will launch at time not like before RB2011 and RB1100 series.
Normis do you have any other news for CCR1036? Already tested and waiting for marketing? or technically not ready yet?

Yes this is a very important product. Finally, it will save us from unreleiable x86 deployements.

Please give more info about this product.

Normis ?

What will be the price point for this?
