New RB433 QC problem?

Hi buddy…

in the Last 2 months, we found some of the new RB433 board is just working fine for 1 ~ 2 days, after that, without any reason, it dead and not able to power up at all.

we found the board is dead in the good weather condition, and some of it the ethernet will “hang” and have to reboot.

all the RB433 is running on the 24VDC power adapter with the poe.

Anybody having the same issue here?

No.. I installed many without problems. Tomorrow we will mount 6 more.. I’ll take care with this and ill tell you if i have the same problem. We are using 24v poe too..

Today…

we found one of the board, one of the power capacitor on RB433 was spark when we turn on the power.
does any one facing this same issue.

and it cause my RB433 having a long break. :.(.

I have had random ethernet shutdowns on a connection between 2 rb433ah boards. each has 2 cm9s, one running nstreme.

I replaced cables, then replaced one of the 2 boards and added a backup connect on the the 3rd port
of each board, which has also failed. I get anywhere from 10 to 90 days before failure.

This is a Very Serious issue. I cannot rely on these boards, never thought I would say this about Mikrotik.
Now I must consider alternatives.

Please inform if there is a solution.

Elvis

Are we talking about just one RB433 or several in the last 2 months used at the same location?
I assume as you have not mentioned otherwise, you are connected to a AC supply, Have you checked this AC voltage supply which is supplying the ac adapter ?
Is the 24vdc - actually 24 and how clean is the dc supply?
Is there radio cards attached?
What is the rating of the adapter used ( current )?
Have you got a UPS between AC supply and dc adapter

Before you consider alternativates - check the basics like i mentioned above?
