New RB750Gr3 - cant get working

Hello,

I just received my first Mikrotik Router, a Mikrotik RouterBoard hEX RB/750Gr3

When I plug it in, it turns on and seems to beep and boot up. The power led turns on, but no ethernet port leds turn on when they are connected. I cant get anything to connect to it.

Tried plugging wan port to modem and also poe switch, nothing. Also tried connecting lan ports on my home linux laptop, and work windows computer and no connectivity.

Am I doing something wrong or does this seem like a faulty unit?

You’ve bought yourself a device, with powerfull library and tools, that needs to be configured :slight_smile:

Download Winbox and see if you can connect up to it with Winbox to manage it - it should appear in the “Neighbors” tab.

It is simple.Download the winbox 3.7 version which is the only way to enter to New RB750Gr3.Also enable ipv6 package.

Possibly in current config ethernet LEDs disabled (it is possible. Strange but possible).
First check ethernet cable. Second - when connect to notebook interface on notebook is up? 100M or 1G. If not when it seems to be broken device.
Or… broken power supply. If possible change to another.
Without ethernet connectivity any netinstalls/winbox are useless.
You can try reset device.
If all listed above not help send it back to the supplier for exchange.

Just wanted to update I tried everything, and it was a faulty device. Just received my replacement, and its time to tinker. :slight_smile:
