New RB951G-2HnD says "up to date" but version is 5.26

Hi,

I just bought a new RB951G-2HnD. It came with v5.26 installed and when I check for updates from within winbox it says that the system is up to date. Why does it not recognize that there is the v6.10?

The update only checks minor version changes, so it check for newer 5.x.
If you want RouterOS 6.x, upload the packages into the router and reboot the device

That’s right. Simply upload this file to your router, and reboot:
http://download2.mikrotik.com/routeros/6.10/routeros-mipsbe-6.10.npk

From then on, the update check will work
