Greetings everybody,
I would really appreciate a helping hand here.
I am about to start a new project and i need some advice on equipment to purchase.
I have 2 dsl lines of 4Mbps each .
I want to bond them or load balance them so i can provide better speeds . So i need a suggestion on a Mikrotik router.
The router will connect to a LAN port on an 8 port D-Link switch that has an sfp port and will connect to another same switch with sfp port at 300m diastance with optic fiber to give access to the internet on an Outdoor Access point.
So what i need is your suggestion on what to purchase :
1: Mikrotik Router that can load balance or bond the 2 lines
2: A really strong outdoor AP that can take limits on it per wireless connection.
PS: I never saw it but , is it probably doable a 3 or 4 line load balancing on a mikrotik router ? If so please make a suggestion.
As a router go for rb 750gr3 or hap ac2. Whatever else mikrotik device with enough ethernets would do the load balancing at such speeds too, but these two are much more capable than they look like. Number of balanced wans is virtually not limited. For outdoor ap suggestion you need to provide more information about your needs.
However if you want to connect to the router with sfp ports, then have a look at… https://mikrotik.com/product/RB953GS-5HnT-RP (has two SFP cages). This is the best price point for 2 sfp type connections.
Really appreciate your replies guys , though i need to ask a bit more regarding hEX S and hAP ac² . Can i use hEX S to connect 2 WAN lines and load balance or bond them ?
I was thinking of using 2x MikroTik CRS112-8G-4S-IN for the sfp ports and get some eth ports spare for LAN. Or i can use hEX S on starting point and use CRS112-8G-4S-IN at the ending point of the fiber line at 200m away .
@Jarda Thanks for the reply for starters .
For the outdoor AP i was thinking of the Ubnt AP AC Mesh Pro but of course any other suggestion is welcome.
All i need is to put some limitations on Downloading and Uploading per wireless client.
