I cannot create new static route there is no Gateway interface instead there is Immediate Gateway unknown, btw I am using Mikrotik hAP ac³ v7.16
Your question is not very clear. So here’s a “misty” (conceptual) answer: if next hop is not known this way or another (either IP address of next hop or point-to-point interface towards next hop), then it’s not possible to create a route which would be helpful to router.
You might get a more concrete answer if you explain your problem in more details.
here are some more details about my config;
WAN connection is pppoe( internet source)
Wire Guard as BTH connection for remote access
Local network is bridge and also, I am using Virtual WiFi for Hotspot
And now I would like to use an external VPN on the Router for the whole network instead of using VPN individually on each device. for this scenario I am using pptp but I can’t select pptp as gateway in static route.
Sorry, I don’t use BTH (or WG), so I don’t know how to set up default route via that kind of tunnels.
Changing requirements when asking for assistance is not a good thing.
A. provide a network diagram of what you would like to achieve with as much detail as possible.
B. provide current config
/export file=anynameyouwish ( minus router serial number, any public WANIP information, keys etc. )
C. provide the following iinformatiion
i. identify all the users, individual needs, group needs, internal and external, and devices as well.
ii. identify all the traffic they need to be able to execute.
D. Provide details on wan connection, type (static,dynamic) ( public, private ) if more than one WAN, your intentions for their use.
Without the details we wont be able to help.
