Hello,
I think will be a good ideea to build a hardware switch with 24ports SFP 10/100Mbps and 2-3-4SFP uplink gigabit ports.
The switch must be support vlan/trunk/aggregated trafic. What do you think about this ideea?
Best regards,

Hello,

In combination with some other things it would be great to have!
Rich featured SwitchOS likes other vendors are selling for many money perhaps for 1000 € ![]()
I think it’s a better idea to just go out there and buy a switch. There’s plenty on the market in all kinds of configurations and price ranges. I don’t think it’s a good idea for MT to compete in these markets.
I don’t need MT everywhere. I need solutions that work and don’t mind who delivers. I’d rather see them holding their product line lean and mean and focus on their core products instead of making the range wider, leading to less people working on a single project.
I think the MikroTik CRS125-24G is exactly in line with what they’re doing now. They’re products are essentially managed switches plus extra features.
I agree with Al . SwitchOS is pretty meh anyway tbh . Bugfixing,Getting ROS 6.xx mature and replacing/facelifting the 1000 series routers would be on my main agenda.
