New to mikrotik Have a question.

Using mikrotik for the first time. Was hoping to use it primarily for Traffic shaping and handing out DHCP. I have a firewall in place and would prefer to leave it as is. I have certain rules on the firewall that are IP based. Basically I would like the Mikrotik to be transparent after DHCP has been handed out. I would like all communication between Host and firewall to interact as it always has and have the Traffic shaping capabalities.

Is it possible to put a miktrotik behind the firewall and do what I mentioned above. If so what needs to be done? I have searched for how to’s but have not found any any reading material would be great.

sure, why not?
make you MT as bridge.

and you want to say that he will be able to limit traffic for users.

btw, ROS has quite powerful firewall
