New to Mikrotik. Have questions, and seeking suggestions!

Looking for advice on some new equipment and what not.

It is a small business setting. 100 user base. 10 servers. None are extremely high demanding.

Does Mikrotik have a high end firewall equivalent? Or would you suggest something like a Sonicwall - prior to the back bone?


Right now we are using low end consumer grade hardware - ie OLD Dlink hardware. Im ashamed.

Its ppop -

Modem - switch - 2 routers - 1 for main connection, one for a dedicated office connection - various switches and other backbone equipment.

What mikrotik would you recommend for this as well? RB750GL / HnD? Or RB2011LS-IN / wifi version?
What are the differences between the 2 models - older and newer? New features? Other than the lcd screen, additional ports and so on?

What do you mean by high end firewall?
The ROS firewall is based on netfilter like all Linux systems.
This is a highly customizable but difficult firewall.

However it is not an ALG or UTM system.
