I am new to MikroTik , my friend just gifted me 2.9.27, i was using windows server 2003 with Isa server.(Not very much familiar)
i have 1 ADSL line and 45 active clients but don’t know how to configure and use MikroTik.
May any one please help me to start it up?

The only reason anyone would use 2.9.27 is because it’s a pirated copy. Buy a legal key.
If you do have a legal key, upgrade. 2.9.27 is way too old, and no longer supported.
your friend or… internet give you a cracked version…?? isn’t it quite old version???

I just want to be clear that i don’t have have reason to tell lie.
it’s installed on a 3 GB HDD and it was his first OS ( i think). he is using 3.3 since last 3 years.
i already consult with my local vendor to get it’s new and legal copy with license, but 1st of all i want to learn and know it because it’s not free and 95 US Dollars is also a big amount to pay with out any experience of this OS.
i don’t want to run it on my setup yep i just want to test it in my home only with 5 computers. so please please please help me to know it.
