New to Mikrotik; Setup questions

I have recently purchased a couple of Mikrotik RB1100AHX2’s brand new.

This will be my first time using mikrotiks, but I’ve heard a lot of good things. So anyway, to my questions:

The hardware came only with a power cable, no software/documentation. - I;ve downloaded the “All_packages_ppc6.1” which from what I can tell is what is needed. Is this the right package?

My understanding is that the hardware comes without the OS installed. IS this correct?

Apparently, from what I have read, I will need a console/null modem sort of cable to use netinstall to install the OS/packages. EG it cannot be done with only an ethernet cable? Is this correct?

Would a cisco console cable work?

once you have accessed the unit, use the software guide: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:TOC

no, you don’t need to use console cable and netinstall tool, this is only when something has gone wrong

connect you Ethernet cable to any port of the 1100ahx2.
login through winbox
open FILES on the 1100ahx2
drag and drop your new router os into the filea folder
when all files are copied, reboot the router.
