New to - PPPOE

Hi All,

i’m new to PPPOE, that i heard it’s good to avoid ip changing by clients. DOne by following the manual, and it works, BUT… i couldn’t find way to do bandwidth limiting. Any advice please? :slight_smile:

What is the advantage and disadvantage of using PPPOE?

You may use ‘rate-limit’ in the profile to assign bandwidth limitation dynamically to the clients.
As well you may use ‘queue simple’ in the same way, as you have used before.

Disadvantage is that it requires PPPoE client configuration on client side, that sometimes is not very easy.
