New user: 951G-2HnD - Wireless works fine, wired does not

First off, I’ll admit that I am probably not as well-versed in networking as I ought to be. I recently picked up a 951G and figured I’d eventually be able to get things working, but I’m hitting a bit of a wall.

My previous set up was my cable modem was connected to an old WRT54g. Plugged into the router were a Roku, my IP phone (Ooma), and a gigabit switch. Plugged into the switch were my NAS and a couple of desktop computers.

I replaced my existing router with the Mikrotik (after configuring it via webfig), and while I can access the Internet through the WiFi connections, anything plugged into the switch does not work. I am still able to use the phone just fine. The computers on the switch can see each other and the NAS, but anything on wifi cannot see anything on the switch.

Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong (or what details I need to provide to help diagnose the problem?)

Thanks!

Did those devices have some special config before? Like static IP address assigned to each?

The RB951 comes preconfigured out of the box, you plug internet into port 1 and other devices in ports 2-5 and everybody should have working internet immediatelly.

The only possibilities I can imagine, is that RB951 configuration has been changed from the defaults. You say you used Webfig, I suggest you go into it again, stay only in the QuickSet page, and change mode to “HomeAP”. Once you have changed the mode, hit “Apply Configuration” and it should work.
