New User Creation Problem

I have setup HotSpot and User Manager on the same router (ROS3.7)
When I create a new user, I get to the Authorize.net page, make my payment and all is well. When the payment is complete I get the “Return to User Manager” button. Click on that and it does take me to the User Manager login screen, but the new ID does not work here.
Two questions:

  1. Why do I go to the User Manager login? I should be sent to the HotSpot login so the user can use the Internet.
  2. Why doesn’t the new ID work in the User Manager login until I log into the HotSpot.

I just reconfigured the entire router. Same thing.
When it comes back from a successful Authorize payment it tries to go to the Public Host address, user page (xx.xx.xx.xx/user) instead of the HotSpot login.
Why does it go to the wrong page?
If I tell the browser to hit another site, it gives me the HotSpot login page, as I would expect. The user I just created can log in just fine. It does not give me the status window, though.
I seem to be so close, but not quite there. Anyone have any suggestions?

OK, I figured out the first part. It is supposed to go to the UserManager page, so I had to put the Public Host address in the Walled Garden. That makes sense, I guess. Now I have to figure out why I can’t log in to User Manager with the ID I just created.

Now that I added Public Host:443 and private address:443 to Walled Garden, it is working.

I hope all of this helps someone else.

i’m particularly interested because the posts above mentioned my exact version, 3.7. pls could someone direct me on how to install usermanager and configure it, so that my hotspot users can be managed without loggin into the router each time.
