New WISP Setup

Hi There,

I am fairly new to setting up a WISP. I have a few questions that i couldnt find answers to in the forums. Anyways here Goes:

1- I am using a Senao 54mbps AP with 15DB omni antennae. Can this hardware work with Miktotik OS or does the os only support wireless cards?

2- How do i configure the network so that wireless clients cannot browse the network and only has access to internet and selected services?

If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated.

  1. if you want to connect it to a mikrotik router via ethernet cable - no problem.

  2. this depends on the AP because all configuration is done on it. if you would be using a wirelesscard in the MT RouterOS - then you could configure it. now you must configure the senao device.

Thanks a lot. So there is no problem connecting AP via ethernet cable. This is great. Now how would i know if the senao ap supports this feature?
