Hello Guys,
I just bought my new home and the previous owner left me some networking gear and in specific Hex S switch. I choose TpLink Deco for the wireless hardware in home.
I am super newb to networking (not to computers though), so i would appreciate your help of creating the following scenario.
- Have ISP connection to the switch
- Have my desktop PC connected to the switch as client with cable
- Have the master deco connected to the switch.
- Have all other end-devices @ home connected to decos either wirelessly or wired
The problem i have with the way i currently was able to configure this is that my desktop PC does not see any of the clients connected to the wireless. (i see desktop pc and router are on one subnet and deco and all wireless devices on another). Im not sure how i achieved that since i cannot login to the switch
I will do a factory reset of the switch(because i never saved my password from the initial configuration) but before that i would love to have some idea of what i need to do and not spend hours in banging my head against the wall
I will appreciate any article/video that can give me any idea, i know its a newb setup.
