I have recently purchased a RB750Gr3 and a HAP AC Lite to replace my existing home router. I have this all working, it was quite easy.
What I would like to do now (and the reason I bought it) is to protect myself from censorship and ISP snooping. For a newbie like me it all seems quite bewildering with certificates, various types of encryption, setting up servers or using paid external service. Also openvpn was originally recommended to me but I have read the RB750Gr3 wont do udp? does that affect me? Do I need this level of encryption?
My internet usage is not high with a little torrenting and streaming in 1080p. I have a 100MB connection.
What is the easiest way to do this? I expect its quite a common request so may be there is some guides I could be pointed too although I have looked and found a few specific guides that I am not sure if its what I need. I don’t mind paying a little amount to a vpn service if it makes it easier?
