Really cool devices, but do you have any plans to support SPB, EVPN, CE or similar? Feels a bit wasteful setting up a 25G/100G links with plain RSTP (witch results in a lot of unused links). Or is the idea to not use and L2 at all?

Hi @normis,
An aside: You might want to update your mail template to reflect the year 2023. Last month also stated 2022. (subject line)

Awesome news. But…I am still waiting for 48 port switch with 2.5Gbps ports, with and without POE:-)

Wouldnt it have been grand if it was

Some nice new products
I would like to see a Mikrotik switch ( similar to the new CRS510-8XS-2XQ-IN ) , but with 8 to 16 100-Gig QSFP28 ports.
I am working on upgrading my networks/servers/switches from 10-Gig to 100-Gig ( nothing less than 100-Gig ).

Still waiting for working AY hardware…

Still waiting for the Mikrotik device which can provide /128 ipv6 address to pppoe users same like ipv4
but MK doesn’t support yet for /128 ip address
if we are going to assign /64 then it will waste alot of ip addresses

Please design accordingly

Is that a problem?
(I mean, do you understand what the capacity of the IPv6 address space really is?)

Love the dedication!

Interesting wording, “permantly remove”, me thinking “break off” would be a better wording for that.

Or do you need a hacksaw to remove permantly, those parts?

Yes, break-off. But it can’t be re-assembled, so - permanent.

See, people like you break the internet.
Do it properly!
You should assign no less than a /56 !

I am pleased that manuals are at least written more clearly.

Thank you for dessert (100 Gigabit) but I’ve not yet finished my dinner (short depth PoE switching).

Me too!!! Even a 24 port version will do work for me!

Yes, new 24-48 PoE switches would be nice. And with beefier managment resources than what latest MT switches has gotten.
Wanted - More RAM, more storage and more CPU.

Btw, it seems that new CRS510-8XS-2XQ-IN got 128MB RAM and 32MB storage (twice of what CRS 518 have).

Is there any plan to add CF-card slot for secondary storage?
(or you planning to keep 16MB flash storage :D)

CF ? Does this standard still exist ?

I would say that Compact Flash is a dying standard, but with latest CF5.0, it supports up to 128 PB (Wikipedia)
That size card would be a nice card to have
