See you in the MUM in Poland!
Very nice. I do believe I have some of the 400L boards in my future.
I do have a question tho, what kind of link is that R5SHPn for? Wow. Big heat sink.
Overkill for every link I have.
when omnitik in 2.4 Ghz??
I want a 2.4GHz OmniTik as well.
1+ for omnitik 2.4 poe output on port 2-5
Someone asked Arnis about Omnitik 2.4GHZ in last MUM. The answer was “nowadays its impossible because of the size of the 2.4 antenna”
I think 6 to 9dbi antennas would be fine for me and a lot of others.
6 to 12 inches isn’t that tall.
For outdoor use most people are using sectors. So I bet most of us would be using them indoors.
for me I would use them out doors for short distance And I dont care if they have dual pol or not, a 6dbi vertical would be great or two sma or nmale connectors for us to use our own antennas. I need a outdoor POE solution with 2.4
For the most part I would say it’s the nice case with two built in antennas that attracts me. Something you can pull out of the box, configure and install.
No more metal case, board, radio card, pig tail and antennas to assemble.
what about Groove 2.4 GHz ? I recall hearing something about this somewhere but cannot find any solid references…
The groove is a single change radio. (one antenna)
i’m looking forward to the rb with the 5 fast and 5 gigabit ports, and sfp port. Any release estimation for it?
Also, i would love a gpon solution from mikrotik.
err, wrong thread, can it be moved to where it belongs?
I have a few 5.8GHz Groove’s deployed but we also get questions about a 2.4GHz version for outdoor AP (Groove A of course !!)
very good new rb
