I am curious about the suggest sales prices and the general availability of the new devices. Can you provide me with a rough estimate for the new products? Which quarter are they shipping?
I am especially interested in the mAP, as it might solve a couple of issues I have …
Any thoughts for adding the mAP in the RouterBoard section without case, wlan and the power adapter in a more convenient place for OEM applications?
I am saying that because as it looks like, the mAP is going to be the ultimate VPN solution for OEM and i think it worth it because it will be
a new kind in the RouterBoard family without too much effort.
I am renting machines to my customers and i need to monitor them for providing SLA, cost etc and i am struggling to fit the RB750 inside but all i want is 2 ports (one for the machine and the second for the VPN)
I need new product for 12x1G Ethernet and 12 SFP and 2 SFP+ Switch for campus use
another one 20 SFP and 4x1G Ethernet 2 SFP+ Switch Fiber to home (Plots, Hotels)
Small Router with 1 SFP and 5x1G Ethernet with 1600mw 5 to 10 dbi mimo (Rooms, Office, Hostel)
You don’t need 1600mw wireless for Rooms, Office, Hostel … keep in mind it is not only how far can your signal go, but also if signal from your clients will get back … in this kind of setup you will be dealing with laptops (100mw), tablets (80mw) and phones (50mw) … what use is to get your signal kilometers away if devices you are targeting can respond only about a fraction of that distance … boosting power on your AP will not increase power on your clients devices. Solution is to place more devices with LOWER power and nonoverlaping channels.
