hEX lite is a nice upgrade to the RB750

Will we see the RB750GL upgraded to this CPU ?

Another missed opportunity! Who is waiting for just a faster rb750 where gigabit is sort of the standard today and a rb750UP is really something that needed an upgrade in both cpu, memory and gigabit ports?
There are hardly cheap passive PoE supply on all ports routers on the market, let alone with gigabit ports.
Many of us are upgrading their networks to gigibit to handle all the extra data througput mimo n and ac can deliver. But if your network uses several remote rb750 units for auto check (Ping watchdog) and power control by rb750UP’s you are more and more becoming desparate to find another solution…

By now, and after the many requests from the users I would expect a newsletter reading “New rb750GUP” with improved cpu in its announcement…, THAT would make me happy…

(A rb780GUP or rb780SGUP would be even better!)

if we apply hAP series logic - hEX lite suggests that there will be regular hEX also, maybe with those you will get what you need

As upgrade goes it is very good one, looking forward to try to overclock mine to 1GHz, i know it is not granted, but it will be in the cool basement, so should be fine.

Any info about CCR1072 and DynaDish?

Also waiting on info about the DynaDish..

I am interested in these two items, too.

After MUM announcements, when do new products typically get put on the routerboard.com site with specs and pricing? Eagerly awaiting the hAP AC units.

Well, in Prague promised for instance QRT with ‘ac’ board. Not a single sign of it yet…

hEX lite just comes sort of out of the blue and is already in the hardware list…

QRT with ac was already announced to distributors for sale, so expect it soon.

All it need is to fit a new board. So even production wise it can be done in a matter of days… don’t understand why there is such timelap between promised ‘soon’ and real availability…
Anyway, I already made one myself. The original board failed so I’d fit an ‘ac’ board in it… I beat MT!

One of the nice things about MikroTik products - you can customize, modify and completely rebuild most of them

did you also got it Certified? CE? FCC? some country specific?
I think lunching a product that emits any kind of energy is painful process, at least what i know from my country.

Just had my lunch and almost chocked in it from laughing… I’m from ‘cowboy land’ man… And no, that is NOT the united states!
Following regulatory regulations or approvals would put 80% of my industry out of business anyway…

And its not Africa or South America neither. We are south, yes. Hot and sunny but still in Europe…

http://routerboard.com/RB911G-5HPacD-QRT is there

but what about DynaDish5 nad CCR1072? No words about it…

Nice, maybe we’d woken someone up?
The DynaDish5 now is also there …

Now we have to see how long it takes to reach the dealers… count for weeks not to be months…

The SXT HG5 ac (shown as new on their site but already there for a while) but hardly available.
The powerbox seems to be gone now… not a loss if something similar comes back with gigabit ports and more power under the hood.
(This was a product anyway that falls in the category ‘too late, too simple’)

“To celebrate the 15th anniversary of EoIP, Mikrotik is adding keyphrase encryption support. Simply add a keyphrase to
the configuration of each EoIP interface and all traffic over the tunnel will be encrypted using IPsec. With the addition of
encryption, the protocol is still simple, robust, and easy to use.”

Does this mean that EoIP is now encrypted with IPSec by default. No more putting it inside a PPtP connection.

Yes, if you set ipsec-secret in eoip config, dynamic ipsec peer and policy is created for this tunnel. The same is also for GRE, Gre6, IPIP and IPIPv6

hy there is a nice topic for all carry on and diliver knowledege i gave blew link check it …
