we are using nexcom NSA 1083/1043 and NSA 2189N8 with pio 16*2 lcd display but sems not work
the display is fully functional but ros not comunicate with it
you have any suggestion for me ?
have you installed lcd package and tried to configure it, post your configuration here from /system lcd
To make the nexcom LCD work with RouterOS you just need to do a simple cable mod
Zoom im and you can see exactly how its done. This is the ribbon between LPT port and LCD.
Left side is Parrallel (LPT) Port. OMG that took many many hours of research to work out!
Also for the record, here’s also how to make the nexcom LCD work with Windows:
Cut wire that goes to pin 17 on the parrallel port end and reconnect to the wire that goes to 16 on the parrallel port end

airnet, you should post it up on the wiki for everyone so it doesn’t get lost in all the posts, good work on figuring it out. might make for a new interesting section in the wiki, on how to make other displays work also so we all don’t have to keep re-inventing the wheel.
