Next gen netpowers PLEASE

I know this has been asked a few times, but it’s almost 2026 and it’s worth asking every few months.

Please give us some update netpower hardware (or rb5009 upgrade)

The want list here is pretty straight forward.

1- rb5009 or greater CPU

2- Marvell switch chip with NAT/VXLAN featureset

3- 2.5G PoE ports that can do >0.6A port port at 48-54V

4- 8 port and 16 port option. 8 port with 2 SFP+ minimum and 16 port with 4 SFP+ minimum.

added bonus would be some high powered PoE inputs, ‘bt 90W for instance. Would simplify a lot of micropop deployments.

I’d really love to see an ALS quad core in one of these. head-to-head a single core from the crs2116’s CPU beat up the rb5009’s cores, more than the Mhz difference. However, a 2Ghz version of the rb5009’s chip instead of 1400Mhz would also be welcome.

We love the hardware features of the Marvell, however having access to cake and fq_codel to manage links is amazing and I’d take a higher end CPU over the hardware switch chip if it was 50%+ more powerful than the rb5009.

thanks for reading.
