ok, you are the second (!) person with BGP problem. please email support with all details and supout.rif file. it is completely possible that it is a configuration problem
Sorry but a simple config with 3 peers and 4 or 5 filters is impossible to go wrong.
The machine is prod and we have spent enough time messing with upgrades and downgrades for the past year or so. Now I am back on 2.9.39 with the regular hung ups here and there (updates might go wrong sometimes).
You are more than welcome to join the network (through VPN) even get a Longterm dedicated Remote MT wireless node (with as many wireless ifs and peers as you want) in order to develop, test and troubleshoot your router software. I think that 560 wireless ASes (wireless nodes) will be enough for the tests…
We have invited you in the past to do so… and even bought about 100 lics (now we do not exactly know how many they are in our community) at one point in time. To me it’s the only solution and a better one since the supout backwards and forwards game is not bringing any results.
We will be more than glad to have you aboard and collaborate towards a good result…
start porting openbgpd. It’s amazingly stable, extremely fast, uses a fraction of the memory and is actively developed. It leaves Quagga in the shadows. Plus it has a BSD license. http://www.openbgpd.org/
I will arrange a setup just for you… It’s not long since new people have taken over the administration. As far as I know there was a mail which you should have received over a year (maybe) ago.
I will talk to our admin team in order to get a set up ready to go for you.
I believe that useful stuff will come out of this. I am happy to see you are willing to collaborate on this.
I am talking about the troubleshooting and the collaboration…
If 2.9.40 is the problem then OK i will do the upgrade again and post the situation… But i guess thats not the flaming point its just a version with a hick up..
