When trying too reset, it does not come up. At all. No access, no winbox response, nothing. I dont even get the green LED to flash. Trying to hold the reset button for long, but no green led flashes. Nohting just the blue PWR led. No green USR led att all. Is this a common error on the Mikrotik hardware?
The problem is that because of this I cant get it too work on NetInstall mode ether.
The other E50UG works perfect and reset button works, the netinstall mode works. Everything. This is like it is in a looked pre-pre-boot mode?
Any suggestions?
edit/add: I have link between the PC and the router, but no LED on the router. Led on the USB-dongel though. Same thing connected to a switch. The switch gives me link up, but the LED on the router is “dead”.
What you report seem the symptoms of a non-booted (and non-booting) device.
First thing (since you have another one handy) try replacing the power adapter.
Remove the USB dongle for the test.
If the device does not boot with a surely working power adapter, you can try (still connected to the surely working power adapter) to reset it, try both ways (backup and main bootloader):
remove the power plug, press the reset button, insert the power plug while keeping the reset button pressed, wait for the led flashing before releasing it
remove the power plug, insert the power plug and IMMEDIATELY press the reset button, keeping it pressed, wait for the led flashing before releasing it
If the device doesn't react, I am afraid it is bricked for good, and you should activate your warranty/RMA the device.
