I have built-up an EoIP tunnel through my MT network. My firewall will get internet access via cable using dhcp through this tunnel. Basically this works fine.
But when I replace the EoIP tunnel with a vpls tunnel I do not have access to every website. Browser will get connection to the website but tries to download additional data without success. Sometimes it seems that additional data will be received 5 up to 10 minutes later.
Mysterious:
But mysterious is that there are some websites running without any problems like http://www.googe.de or http://www.test.de.
MTU issue?
In case that it will be an MPLS MTU issues within my MT transport network etc. I am wondering why some websites works without any problem but the better part will only could build up the connection but additional data could not be received (or only after 5 up to 10 minutes).
Question:
Could this behavior come from a MTU issue in my MT mpls transport network and in this case have you any idea / explanation why a few websites like http://www.google.de or http://www.test.de works without any problem?
I thought that when MTU is to small and the transported protocol is IP the packages will be automatically fragmented / and defragmented and only the total numbers of transport frames will be increased?
