No CAPsMAN button in Winbox

Hello,
I’d like to start setting up CAPsMAN on my router, but the menu button is missing (via Winbox). I’m stumped. Any insights would be appreciated.

Things I’ve tried:

  • Reset router configuration to defaults.
  • Googling (if the answer’s here I missed it).
  • Accessed WebFig to check if menu item was unchecked (does not exist there either).
  • Downloaded ARM64 Extra packages to attempt to install the wireless-cm2 package, but it was not in zip. Does this package need to be sourced from another location? Does wifiwave2 supersede this package?
  • /interface/wifiwave2/capsman set enabled=yes interfaces=bridgeWiFi (print shows it’s enabled with certificates)

Board Name: hAP ax^3
/system package print
0 routeros 7.8
1 wifiwave2 7.8

Same problem here. I’m trying to follow the tutorials but there is no CAPsMAN option in the menu. There is also no wireless or other packages to install, found they were merged in the routeros package since version 7, but dont know how to activate. My router is hAp AC. I think I missed some basic config.

Hello,

CAPsMAN: WinBox → Wireless → Last tap “Remote CAP” → Button CAPsMAN → Enabled

There is no capsman button for wifiwave2 devices.

Check under wireless.
This is clearly indicated in help page for wifiwave2. You might want to read that.

Load capsman package on hap ac.
It’s separate.

For me it worked with /system package uninstall wifiwave2; /system reboot;

There is capsman button for devices with wifiwave2 package. See above pictures
