i have a RB711-5Hn-MMCX
it has no “DEFAULT IP”
winbox shows 0.0.0.0 as the default IP
any idea why??
Maybe you have done a system reset and it’s awaiting for you use the reset ip address or apply your own ip address ?
yes i did system reset.
but if it is supposed to be a default ip address it has to show up when the system is reset to default (factory) configuration.
why is that not showing up?
you can connect with winbox via the mac. use that to set an IP.
Which version is installed on the board?
Was netinstall used to reinstall software and default config script was specified?
How do you reset configuration to defaults?

i did that… but was eager to know why was there no default IP on the board??

have you ever used Netinstall on it? this can remove the defaults
no… just using it with as it has come to me from the vendor in India. don’t know if he has played around? 
upgraded to 5.6 today…
i want to make it work for 10 kms using a 22dbi Panel antenna… not sure how will it perform.
