Hi, I upgraded to RouterOS v5.6 from v4.16 and on two RB433s I have saw this problem. When I look into /system/routerboard/print the value of current-firmware is empty. I would not notice this, but I had problems with these routers. Pings went higher and packet loss occured. This has nothing to do with the wireless links, they are fine. After rebooting the router, ping are normal - 2ms, but after some time, it comes higher again regardless of traffic. What does it mean to have “no firmware” ? Have anybody seen similar problems with v5.6?
Don’t want to solve it by just upgrading. I did than on one router and it upgraded to 2.29 and was fine again. Just wondering why that happened and if someone else has the same problem.
There is current firmware 2.18, but after 1day is there again current firmware EMPTY and kernel failure
ros 5.7
Is this fixed in 5.8?
After /system/routerboard/upgrade the firmware was 2.18 on one device, but after second running the command, firmware is 2.38 now. No reboot with v5.7 since then, but its running only for a few days/weeks.
