No Internet Access from RB750GL

I am unable to access the internet via my RB750GL

Had previous RB750GL working fine, but it “died” and now I cannot get replacement to connect to Internet.

Assumption, adding PPPOE client connection to default setup, should get met connected to internet - appears to be not true.

RB750GL makes PPPOE connection to internet, via bridged ADSL modem.

Can ping internet from RB750GL.

Cannot ping or access Internet from Laptop or Workstation.

Can ping RB250GS, RB750GL and ADSL modem (10.0.0.2) from Laptop (192.168.88.6) and Workstation (192.168.88.254)

Traceroute dies at RB750GL, and goes no further

Laptop and Workstation connect to RB750 (192.168.88.1) via RB250GS (192.168.88.2)

Am at wits end and don’t know how to progress further.

You have to masquerade, it won’t work without doing that. Did you not have your config saved from the old router?

Ol’e Man Murphy, he don’t love me much seems, the same series of surges and brownouts that killed the RB killed the computer with the back-up on it … :frowning: :open_mouth:

Now to figure out how to best use the RB750GL + RB250GS to control my Step-Son and his friends from abusing my hospitality and limited bandwidth, and a second RB750GL if required …
