I’m using since a while the Groove A-52hpn. I’m currently in Mexico. I use the routerboard as a wifi extender. I can get internet access through some networks, but not through others. In all cases I can connect the Groove to the network, but for some of them I do not get internet access (even if I have internet access to them when I connect directly with my phone or laptop). Pls help me understand what is happening / give me troubleshooting directions. I’m attaching the config file of the routerboard.

First, you need to use /export hide-sensitive file=yourfile. This will produce a readable text file of your configuration and put it in “Files”
A backup file is not readable and will only function on the device that made it.
If you are dealing with a AP that redirects you to a login or “accept terms” page and you are getting an IP from the AP but don’t get redirected then try going to an unencrypted website such as http://www.example.com/. This will usually result in the redirect page coming up.
Thank you for your prompt response. I’m attaching the config file created per your instructions.
The network I’m trying to connect to is WPA2 password protected, once you are connected to it there are no other levels of credentials checking. Following are the network properties that I get when I connect to it directly with my windows laptop. As a reminder, when I connect directly to this network thru my windows laptop I get to the internet, but if I connect to it thru the Mikrotik Routerboard I cannot get to the internet.

I followed your recommendation to try to connect to www.example.com and I get this error:
This site can’t be reached
www.example.com took too long to respond.
Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

I installed your configuration on a Groove 52HPn and had no trouble connecting to my test AP.
If you get internet from some networks but not from others but not others your problem is probably due to your output power being too strong for some AP’s. Your configuration is currently set to put out maximum power. You can reduce your power output by changing the Frequency Mode to “regulatory-domain” and changing your “Antenna Gain” setting. You’ll find the Frequency Mode and Antenna Gain settings in the wireless section. The higher the antenna gain number the lower the output power. Most connection problems with a Groove CPE are caused by too much output power.
Always check the Wireless Network section on the Quick Set page to see if you got an IP. If you don’t have an IP you are not communicating with the AP.
