No internet traffic between CRS 109 and TL-WR1043ND v1

Greetings,

I just acquired the CRS-109-8G-1S-2HND-IN this weekend and I have been trying to get a secondary router to connect to it for internet sharing purposes. I managed to get my TL-WR1043ND v1 (with Gargoyle) to connect to it configured as a repeater, but no internet traffic goes through. What would be the correct way of doing this? I don’t necessarily need my tplink to act as a repeater since I plan on simply using the wired ports to connect a single device.

I disabled DHCP on the tplink, set the mikrotic router IP as the Gateway/AP, used the same subnet on both and set a bridge IP for the tplinlk in the gargoyle config within the DHCP interval of the mikrotic.

Thanks!

It’s entirely unclear to me what exactly you’re trying to accomplish. You mention ‘repeater’, as in ‘wireless repeater’? If not and you’re actually daisy chaining the two devices in routed mode, I’d stop there and avoid double NAT headaches. A network diagram would help. In principle, the TP-link would be redundant to the routing capabilities offered by the CRS. Either configure the CRS as switch/accesspoint to the TP-link with routing duties or connect the TP-link LAN ports to the CRS acting as a router. For WiFi just create identical profiles to allow clients to roam the two access points.
