No link between CRS305 and Media-Converter

Hello,

I see no connectivity when I try to connect the CRS305 to my media converter in port SFP2 and don’t understand why. The SFP modules I use seem to be recognized, but no traffic is coming through.

Setup

Observations:

  • The connection between the media converter and my endpoint (laptop) seems fine (ethernet lights blinking up on both ends).
  • The “link” light on the media converter is not lit up
  • I tried using the following media converter also, but that didn’t work either: https://www.fs.com/de/products/104627.html

Equiment:

Is there some setting on the CRS that needs changing?

You probably need to disable autonegotiation on the CRS SFP interface Ethernet tab, and manually set it to 1Gbps + full duplex as that’s what the MC220L supports.
