I don’t want to be bothered with the cycle of frequent releases and subsequent fixes of the rather optimistically named “stable” branch of 7.x.
But I’m stuck with it on my RB4011 because it was factory installed with 7.9. That was 18 months or more ago, and despite vague mentions over that period of “soon” and “when it’s stable” no LTS has appeared.
So, @mikrotik do you have a timeframe in which an LTS version of 7.x is planned?
(because unless there’s a planned timeframe it can continue to drift indefinitely).
And if not are you effectively saying that current and recent-ish purchasers of your hardware can forget about LTS levels of stability?
(at least beyond wishful thinking)
