No more Internet after OS Update on Chateau 5G R17 ax

Hi everyone,

i have a Chateau 5G R17 ax with a Deutsche Telekom 5G SIM card. With the original shipped OS (can´t remember the version sadly. Can i check it somewhere?) the router was online with an IPv4 and IPv6 IP. Then i´ve updated via System→Packages. After the update the router wont connect to the internet anymore. The lte link is up but the router don´t get any external IP.

Any Ideas?

The logical next step:
DOWNgrade again (7.20.7 or 7.21).

There are issues with 7.21.1 specifically for this device.
It's being worked on but until the fix is officially released, downgrade is the only solution.

Yes, try downgrading to 7.20.7.

The "factory" software version can be seen with:
System > Routerboard
in Winbox or Webfig
or with:
/system routerboard print
in terminal

Perfect, thanks! The original version is 7.16.9.

I will try to downgrade now.

Update: i´m on the LTS version now and the router is back online. :partying_face:

Best to stay on long-term channel. Avoids falling into "stable" update issues. Unless you enjoy the "kick". :slightly_smiling_face:

7.21.2 is out with hopefully fix for this device.
