NO mPCI detect on RB133

Hello,

may you help me, please

I had just repairing RB133(ROS v3.30), by changing its 5120 only due to damage eth1 usually
(Note: previously booting ok, Eth2/3 were perfect(except eth1 as mention above), the board is accessible ok, mPCI was still detected(even its eth1 damaged))

now after replacing its old proc 5120(new processor) onto RB133
Eth1/2/3 working perfect, nothing wrong!, BW test are ok
but no mPCI(R52/ CM9) detected

something wrong on its hardware?.. which component(processor 5120) should be check?
all my repairing proc 5120 only, 3 board RB133 does the same, but NO mPCI(R52/ CM9) detected

note its mPCI were perfectly working on its board RB133/ RB112 or on other RB433

Something wrong with ADM5120 soldering (mPCI signaling) Can you describe what method and equipment you use?

blower heater gun… to lift the old 5120 and replacing the brand new 5120
used flux and Sionka liquid
and seem these done by very good technician

anyway key point to cek to begin with? that failing the pins soldering?

I had replacing 3 boards RB133 with brand new 5120 but which they all fail detecting mPCI

thank you very much for the assistance…

Carefuly check is it all BGA balls present on new CPU. I note few times that new CPU lost some balls. Else heater gun is not so precise. IR oven is much better moreover if you want replase that chips like AR7130.

hm… that your meant processor of ADM5120=AR7130 ??? direct replacement? 324pins of BGA too ?

No, I mean if you want repair RB400 series boards IR oven is useful.

anyone knowing 324pins detail description of the ADM5120 and thank you, bro aaa
