No open port with Quick Setup WISP AP

Hi at all,

my first steps with MikroTik beginning with a map and a map lite. I want to configure a simple WLAN acess point with the map lite. All quick setup configurations where functionally until I’ve updated the firmware. I don’t know the old version. At the moment I have v6.40.05 (stable).

I tried several Quick Setups (every time after a factory reset), but none of them are functionally for me as simple access point. From the wiki I read the different setup modeshttps://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Quickset:

  • CAP: I have no CAPsman (at the moment)
  • CPE: I want no router to the Internet
  • HomeAP: This configures a router (routing, nat, firewall, …), not a AP
  • HomeAP dual: the same for both WLAN frequencies
  • PTP Bridge AP/CPE: I don’t want to combine one subnet over a WAN connection
  • WISP AP: YES, this I want. Here I can configure the SSID, the WLAN-key, no routing, one bridge for all interfaces (ethernet and wlan), ip adress comes via dhcp

I can apply the settings of the WISP AP. After a short time I see in my dhcp server that the ip is new released by the map lite. I can ping the ip address.

But I can’t configure the map anymore. There are no open ports on the device. I scanned the ip adress for open ports: nothing. No http (80), no ssh (22), no ftp (21).
These are the settings, I’ve configured:

Where is the mistake I’ve configured?

Thanks
Ulf

If somebody get’s the same erros. It it caused in the special hardware configuration of the lite ap. Because you have only one wired connection and this is used for the wan connection. Because you have to configure it in several steps, in the first step you kill you configuration connection over WLAN.

Solution:
Configure it with WinBox, so you communicate cia MAC-address in the same subnet. With this I could configure all necessary steps.
