no supported channel - after upgrade

After upgrade from 6.48.6 to 7.1.1 on x86 server and rb18 (8 minipci cards) with level 5 license and extra-channels I can’t set any frequency. Downgrade to v6 doesn’t help. There is just “auto” frequency and I get “no supported channel” error.

Same Problem with me, After update from 6.48.6 wifi is not working on x86 level 4 licence with extra channels
Using Atheros AR9300
Errors
–No Supported Channel
–Scan list does not contain valid channels
–Empty scanlist

On 6.48.6 everything is working fine

Have seen that a couple of times.
In my case it was each time a mismatch between country setting and channel to be used
Ros7 is a lot more strict on that.

Can you check country setting and if the allowed channels for that setting are compatible with what you want to use ?

Could you elaborate more? Which country you base? Can you make it work?

I encounter the same issue

Assuming you are not using wifiwave2

From terminal
/interface wireless info country-info=

For wifiwave2
/interface/wifiwave2/info country-info=

It will show which channels etc are allowed for the selected country. Omit country-info parameter to get all countries.

For a lot if countries it is illegal to set wrong channels/width/… for wifi, hence the reason ROS7 is a lot more strict on which channel can be used for which country.

Selecting the right country is the user’s responsibility!!

Empty output from my x86 device. must be missing something

I recently encountered this problem when I set my list of channels 1, 6, 11. It turned out that there were continuing problems with the scan list name. If the name of the sheet begins with a number, we get an error message, if with a letter, everything works.
Also, if there is a dot in the list name, then the list name is imported incorrectly when exporting-importing the configuration.
PS hAP ac2 and ROS7.2.3

I am using an x86 and install an MikroTik R11e-5HacT
Always no supported channel

Set installation to “any” … the way MT understands the “indoor” is very restrictive … device will select only channets which are allowed exclusively for indoor use … and there might be none. Usually all channels are allowed for indoor and outdoor, but allowed Tx power might be lower when used outdoor.

You may also want to change band to “5GHz-n/ac” (omit a) and (for starters) channel width to 20MHz only.

Tap the Advanced mode button. The Scan List window appears. Check which list is selected there.
You can create your own Scan List and select it.

I have manually added the scanlist and it appears in the scan list.
Unfortunately, it does not work upon trying one by one.

Besides, it should be a dual band card, it does not show up 2.4G.

The same for my older atheros.

Nevertheless, when I have time, I may try again in ROS version 6. and also in 32 bits. Currently it is version 7.4.beta in 64 bits mode.

Where did you get that idea? Official product page only mentions 5GHz radio. All product pages of products supporting both bands clearly mention that in specifications, even for Groove 52 which is dual-band capable single radio device (and one has to try a bit harder to find this crucial bit of information on product page). Just because radio chip has ability of running either band, it doesn’t mean that particular card implementation offers it.

I see, my mistake

May I know if V7 has x86 wifi driver included?

Yup
i am using latest stable version 7.5 with Atheros AR9300 on x86 working excellent.
All the bugs are removed.

Can you share with me where you got the AR9300?

I have been using the mikrotik branded R11e-5HacT which is still not working

some solution mikrotik ???
x86 v7+ no suport channels in 2,4ghz !!!

The support said it would be fixed. But so far, only “no support channels issue” has been fixed. still not yet able to connect to wifi device and works

Likely the driver is not fully activated

MIKROTIK, Some Solution of this ? Please answer !!!

MOKROTIK Some Answer ???
