No wireless interface on RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN

Hi there,

I recently purchased RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN to replace my old wifi router at home. However, when I first booted, no wireless interface showed up in Winbox. I tried to reset configuration, then upgrade to 6.21.1, 6.22, 6.23rc, all of them with reseting to defaults, but with no luck. I also tried downgrading to 6.5 and 6.10 with no luck as well. Then I tried reinstalling to 6.22 via netinstall and guess what? Yes, no luck at all.

I must say I am very disappointed with this piece of hardware, because we’ve been using hundreds MikroTiks in our ISP network for a long time with no problem at all.

Can somebody help me with some workaround? Or I just stick back to latest OpenWRT on Alix?

Check the wireless or wireless fp package is installed and active.

Yep, wireless package is installed and active. I tried disabling it and enabling wireless-fp, then rebooting but still no change.

I think you might have just received a broken one. If it really doesn’t show up try and contact your dealer to get it replaced? Sucks when it happens, but it sometimes does (with any brand).

Yep, it seems I received a broken one. I just wanted to avoid returning it back to dealer because of the time it needs to take to get new one. Well, it’s the only thing I could do now. Hopefully this thread will become handy to someone struggling with this kind of problem.
