No Wireless tab?

I have a RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN and opened Winbox and there is no wireless tab? how do I get this?

Go to “system” “packages” and look if wireless is installed.

If not download the routeros version “all packages” copied this in “files” and reboot the router

hi

Im having the same issue… i dont find the wireless tab in Winbox. I have the latest version of the RouterOS, as follows:

Model: Router Board RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN
RouterOS: 6.35.2
MacOS: 10.7.5

As suggested in this thread, i checked System Packages, and didnt find “Wireless” package. I see only the following packages when i execute the System>Packages>Print command

dhcp
ntp
gps
lcd
calea
user-manager
multicast
system
routing
ppp
hotspot
advanced-tools
openflow

The Wireless package has not been downloaded. Hence i visited http://www.mikrotik-software.de/downloads/ and downloaded the the following Wireless packages:

wireless-fp-6.35.2-tile.npk
wireless-fp-6.35.2-ppc.npk
wireless-fp-6.35.2-mipsbe.npk

I uploaded the above to the Router using ftp (using Transmit), checked that they had been uploaded (using File>Print) and then rebooted the router. However, the wireless interface is still not available in Winbox…

Help… what am i doing wrong… ?

Vikram

You have need wireless-fp-6.35.2-mipsbe.npk

Reboot the routerboard.

Look to the log what happend.

thank you! i deleted the following files

wireless-fp-6.35.2-tile.npk
wireless-fp-6.35.2-ppc.npk

and reboot the router. Now i see the wireless tab..

thanks again

Rather to move to wireless cm2 because the wireless fp was discontinued. You could have problems with subsequent updates…

No problem.
Goodluck

Dont mess with sys architecture, guys…
Mipsbe, tile, ppc…read before you download and worst of all, implement in production…

thanks for the suggestion. I searched for a wireless-cm2 package but could only find the following at http://www.mikrotik-software.de/downloads/

wireless-cm2-6.27.npk

however, i’m running RouterOS 6.35. So should I be searching for a 6.35 version of wireless-cm2? and if i were to switch to cm2 package, then should the existing mipsbe package be removed?

also, in http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/wireless-cm2-wireless-fp-performance-difference/89830/1 Mikrotik Support has stated that “wireless-cm2 package is made for CAPsMANv2, of-course, but sometimes there are few updates which we put only in wireless-cm2 package, generally they are very insignificant or made for specific request e.g. country regulation setting… In normal conditions there shouldn’t be any differences. If wireless performance differs between these packages you should write to MikroTik support.”

Would this mean that cm2 is not necessary unless CAPsMANv2 is in use?

Vikram

All packages must be from same exact version to work properly.

Use bundle RouterOS package - it contains set of packages that are sufficient in 99,9% of setups.

If you already had bundle package, most likely your wireless package was simply disabled.

thanks for the suggestion. I searched for a wireless-cm2 package but could only find the following at > http://www.mikrotik-software.de/downloads/

download packages from our official webpage please, we are not missing any files. I have no idea who runs the aforementioned site, so I can’t say why you can’t find the correct file there.

Ok... I let the RouterOS check for updates and automatically download and install the latest version. In the new version, I didn't find the wireless package. I did a search for it by using the "File>Print" command. There was no wireless package. Hence, I searched for the package and found it at //www.mikrotik-software.de/downloads/

Ok, thanks for this lead. I am downloading the Main Package and Extra Packages from www.mikrotik.com/download for 6.35.2 (Current). My RouterOS is currently running 6.35.2 and it says this is the latest version. However, when i do a System>Packaage>Print it shows only the following:

NAME VERSION SCHEDULED

0 dhcp 6.35.2
1 ntp 6.35.2
2 gps 6.35.2
3 lcd 6.35.2
4 calea 6.35.2
5 user-manager 6.35.2
6 multicast 6.35.2
7 wireless-fp 6.35.2
8 system 6.35.2
9 routing 6.35.2
10 ppp 6.35.2
11 hotspot 6.35.2
12 advanced-tools 6.35.2
13 openflow 6.35.2

pl let me know what you recommend i do with the Main Package and Extra Packages that i have now downloaded?

Also, (this may not belong to this thread), but my DHCP server has not been working since the latest upgrade to 6.35.2...
