I have Mikrotik hEX with 6.46.6 OS
On it I have a site to site IPSec VPN tunnel between it and a remote router with Mikrotik being configured with separate IPSec proposal, policy and peer which works fine.
However when I create an L2TP/IPSec with PSK server on it (that has everything set by default) - only my own computer (which is at a remote location from all the hardware) can connect over VPN and nobody else. That also includes connecting from a phone behind my very own router from the very same place I’m in - it doesn’t connect.
Whenever anything else is trying to connect (with my PC being or not being connected over VPN at the time) I get a constant error message that says:
“ip x.x.x.x parsing packet failed, possible cause: wrong password”
I’ve double checked both PSK and login. I even connect with the very same “secret” from PPP settings (same username and password) - I’ve tried doing it on two other remote devices as well - nothing works, same error message.
Saying that all devices I’ve tried it on are stock Win10 computers with default L2TP/IPsec with PSK VPN settings
Please help, because I’m simply out of ideas.
