noise floor

I have problem, how to change noise floor, now is -74 and for 2 hour since 99, i need it over -80
what can be the problem ??, where to change

The noise floor is showing you that there is RF on the channel you are using, unfortunatly you cannot change the noise floor… but you can:

  1. Check you have not put a new radio link up that is interfering with the original one - I’ve done this more that once.

  2. Try a site survey (Scan) on the radio with a problem - you might be able to see the problem - maybe a new AP in the area. You may know the owner and suggest they change channel or if it is not locked change it for them

  3. Use a different channel for you radio remembering that there are only really 3 channels available on 2.4GHz of 1, 6 and 11 (13 in EU). The MikroTik can help you find a better channel either by using DFS-radar detect and or Frequency Usage (something like the) tool on the wireless inteface in Winbox.

Good Luck

One small note, you can use ‘snooper’ to scan used band and get detailed information about different parametrs.
Note, using snooper or scan will disconnect existing clients, and they will connect again only after finishing/disable snooper or scan.
