Noob: Data monitoring needed

Hey Folks,
I’m a home user and my ISP has given me access to the router so I can watch traffic in my home network to look for problems. Instructions are sparse so I’m looking for a simple method to monitor traffic. The other weekend after my connection speed dropped to almost nothing, my ISP was later able to tell me some device on my network was doing an Apple Update and sucked up all my bandwidth from 18:00 to 23:30!

I have created a spreadsheet and mapped all MAC addresses to the devices in my home so I know who is who. So when my connection seems to slow, I need to login to the router and see if any of these MACs are hogging all my bandwidth so I can stop it.

Simple ideas are greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Use the Torch tool on your LAN interface, it will show what is being used

Got it, thanks!
