Hello.
Just got my first Mikrotik, it’s a RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN.
I successfully configed it as station-pseudobridge.
It connects over 802.11n to main AP (which provides nat to internet and dhcp to local interfaces),
then it brigdes all ether interfaces together with wlan1 (station-pseudobridge mode).
I only have one IP assigned to mikrotik, and it’s static ip in local subnet assigned to wlan1 so i can access and admin from any place in local network.
This setup works great. Performance is way above ubiquiti one.
Now, i need following done:
L2TP client, that binded to only one eth (eth5 i want to use). So whatever i plug into eth5 goes over L2TP and receives dhcp assignments from remote server running L2TP and dhcp on it’s local subnet (giving out addresses to whatever that connects to l2tp - softether+local bridge).
I’ve gone as far as creating new L2TP-out on mikrotik and it connects.
But then i tried creating new bridge, adding only l2tp-out + eth5 to it (removing eth5 from bridge-local).
It doesn’t work.
I know i’m missing something simple here.
Some help would be appreciated. Thanks
ps. sold on mikrotik already re: price/value
