Noob question - Distance between SXT 2HND and Groove 52HPN

Hi All

I have:

  1. SXT 2HND (built in antenna 10dBi -5m high mast ) ,
  2. Groove 52HPn (16dBi Grid Antenna - 5m high mast).

I want to setup an PTP Link on 2.4 GHz.
Noob question(s) -
a.If I can ‘see’ the different antenna locations (ie LOS), can I expect distance of 5 km ?
b. Do I need to ‘tune’ the Output Power of any of the two devices ?

I am gonna give it a try tomorrow. hope it works !!

“seeing” the other antenna is not enough, the fresnel zone has to be free of obstacles as well.
