Noob to Mikrotek -Need some assistance

Good Day all,

Long story short, ran a Link-Sys router for a number of years with Shibby Tomato v1.28 firmware and if I remember correctly it was based on Linux, due to the release of fibre in our area I had to get rid of the router and ended up with a TP-Link which was absolutely shocking.

My new MikroTek router is being delivered tomorrow which is the HAP ac2. Ive got the basics down with regards to setup and general usage from watching some vids and reading through some tutorials however there is one function/tool that I’m hoping is possible on the HAP ac2 and that is a functionality that the Link-Sys provided me with the Shibby Tomato v1.28 firmware, which is a detailed Bandwidth and IP traffic/device usage tool.

Can anybody confirm that this is possible on the RouterOS UI?

I thank you for your future responses.

You may be slightly disappointed there (and that’s optimistic view). It’s possible to watch interfaces in real time. Then there are bandwidth graphs for interfaces, but nothing really exciting. And that’s it, no built-in detailed per-device/IP monitoring. It would be possible to get similar graphs for devices using queues, but you’d have to add them manually. To get something better, you’d need some external tool.

@ Sob, Thank you for your response
