We are a wisp and looking to use user manager for non hotspot use. We would like to be able to setup clients with a login to see their usage. We have packages that have transfer limits on the accounts and we bill past those limits transfered. Our customers are issued static ips and we do not use pppoe. Will user manager allow us to monitor our customers static ip addresses and account for usage traffic and allow them to view there current usage totals? When a use limit is set can user manager be set to not stop the account but count overage and we can import it to our billing system?
You can use User Manager for HotSpot/DHCP/Wireless/PPP users, it’s not possible to use for just ‘static’ users.
