Been trying to figure this out. Is there any way to set priority for certain notifications on sensors?
E.g. I’m monitoring a server with 10 virtualized servers on it, and monitoring services on each of those servers etc.
My ‘problem’ is, if the host server goes down, so does the guests and their services and I get about 65 SMS and emails.
Is there any way to set a priority on notifications and probes, e.g. if I lose ping on the host server, I don’t need to know that dude lost contact with the other 64 probes as well. Same when a virtual server is down, and all of its services are unavailable.
Anyone have an idea if/how this is possible at all?
It’d be a pain if I’m remote monitoring a site with several servers and infrastructure, and end up getting 2-300 SMS just cause the tunnel goes down for a few minutes between the sites.
