I’m trying to enable nstreme over a 4km link setup by WDS in Ap-bridge
mode, however when I enable nstreme the line is totally out and I have
tried all possible combination of framing policy but there was no luck.
any idea to help this matter is greatly appreciated because at this moment
I cannot get better than 3megabit… by the way I’m using CM9 cards with
19db directional panel antennas with rather large cable (around 15meter)
at one end using RG8 cable and N connector. (couldn’t find a better cable).
my signal is around -77 at one end and -85 at another which is of course
not a good signal due the cable and low quality UFL pigtail. however I’m
sure I can get a better speed at least at one direction.
I do not believe you can run WDS with NStreme. That asside you really need to improve the link by replacing the pigtails and using better cable. Why do you have such long RF cable runs? Why not use the CM9 in a RB532 out next to the antenna?
well the antenna is in such a bad location which I have to climb up at top of tower like 20 floor and I fall, I’m dead so i need this cable that I dont have to climb the thing for doing simple stuff and I preffer P4 2.6ghz with 512mb memory to get rid of limitation with rb500 so I can have as many as wireless interface without problem… however just today I changed the card to SR2 but it is still the same signal strenght !!! and as well as same speed
